Catch a minor league baseball game at Classic Park in Eastlake.
10) Participate in the Lake County Earth Day Celebration
Attend events promoting environmental awareness and sustainability, like the Mentor Natural Resources Division Earth Day Celebration on Sunday, April 27th, 2025, from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM at Springbrook Gardens Park.
Guests can explore the splendor of Springbrook Gardens Park on a wildlife walk with a biologist, learn how to identify and remove invasive plants on an interactive hike, and participate in a park cleanup.
11) Audubon Spring Bird Walks at the Holden Arboretum
The series is a celebration of migratory birds and the important habitats our parks and natural areas provide. Spring bird walks are led by experienced birders from local Audubon chapters and welcome birders of all ages and skill levels. The walks are free for Holden Forests & Gardens members. Nonmembers will pay regular admission rate.
12) Travel the Ohio Distillery Trail
Celebrate all that Ohio distilleries have to offer on the Ohio Distillery Trail! Ohio distilleries make international award-winning whiskey, rum, gin, vodka, and more. Visit each distillery and check in to earn points. Redeem those points for prizes. Ohio distilleries offer tours, tastings, cocktail bars, full restaurants, and plenty of other experiences, meaning there is something for everyone on the Ohio Distillery Trail!

13) Attend the Madhatters Canoe & Kayak Race
Annual 8.5-mile Grand River race from Harpersfield Covered Bridge Metropark to Hidden Valley Park. Awards to top three finishers in each race category (determined by skill level and boat type). Wear a fun, crazy hat while you race! All racers receive a t-shirt and a finisher’s medal.
Ages 10 and older (younger than 18 must be accompanied by adult), Fee: $25 pre-registered only by April 13, no same-day registration

Spend the day at Ohio’s longest natural beach, perfect for picnicking and sunbathing.
