MENTOR, Ohio — The Mentor Rocks summer concert series is gearing up for its next big event, as popular country music duo Maddie & Tae takes the stage on Aug. 20.
This performance marks the second highly anticipated country headliner of the season, following a show by award-winning country star LeAnn Rimes this past Sunday. Maddie & Tae first captured the music scene’s attention in 2013 with their chart-topping breakout hit “Girl In A Country Song.” Rolling Stone praises their new work for its “stellar vocal pairings and some of the tightest harmonies on Music Row,” while Billboard notes their “sound that’s identifiable while still representing a distinct step forward,” according to the event page.
The Mentor Rocks live music series, which began on June 4, continues to deliver diverse performances through August 27. Upcoming shows include:
July 30: Dirty Deeds – AC/DC tribute
Aug. 6: Bruce in The USA - Bruce Springsteen tribute
Tuesday and Wednesday, Aug. 13-14: Katy Ellis as Taylor Swift - Taylor Swift tribute
Friday, Aug. 16: ZOSO (Mentor CityFest Friday) - Led Zeppelin tribute
