Head over to one of our three Winter Icefests this month, enjoy a brisk hike thru Lake Metroparks , or get cozy at one of our wineries with the Winter Warmer Trail.

2nd Annual Downtown Willoughby Ice Fest

Experience art, ice carving demonstrations, vendors, the city's lights and other outdoor winter entertainment at the 2nd Annual Downtown Willoughby Ice Fest.

Fairport Harbor Winter Fest

Beat the winter blues with live music, food trucks, full bar, kid's activities, vendors, and more at the Fairport Harbor Winter Fest.

Mentor Chill Out

Shake away the winter blues at Mentor Chill Out on Saturday, January 20, 2024, from 11:00 AM to 6:00 PM at Mentor Civic Center Park.

Ice Wine Festival

During the entire month of March, join Ferrante Winery, Debonné Vineyards, Grand River Cellars, Laurello Vineyards, Ferrante Winery, & Cask 307 for the Annual Ice Wine Festival, a progressive tasting of the ice wine produced in the Grand River Valley.

Snowshoeing

At Penitentiary Glen Reservation and Chapin Forest Reservation, rent snowshoes and follow designated marked trails.

Girdled Road Reservation has two trails for backcountry snowshoe or hiking experiences for the 3.5 miles of accessible areas.

Holden Arboretum offers snowshoe rentals that you can experience while hiking or birding!

Cross Country skiing

Lake Metroparks will continue to groom trails for skiing this winter season at both Chapin Forest Reservation and Girdled Road Reservation (south entrance) as in the past.
