Winter Warmer Wine & Cocktail Trail - Comfort Food & Pairings

Cozy Delights Call For Wine Flights

Madison, OH (December 2024) – The holidays may be over, but winter has just begun! To help you embrace the season, the Valley Wine Group presents the 5th Annual Winter Warmer Wine & Cocktail Trail. This popular event is the perfect way to enjoy the cold months of January and February, offering a fun and festive experience for all.

The Winter Warmer Wine & Cocktail Trail pairs comforting foods with wines from four local wineries, along with a mini cocktail from Red Eagle Distillery and Black Door Tavern. For just $7 at each participating location, guests can enjoy unique offerings at each stop. In addition, several wineries are featuring specialty winter sangrias and cocktails for an additional fee. These beverages are designed to warm you up and evoke memories of sunnier days.

Participating establishments include:

  • Grand River Cellars Winery & Restaurant

  • Debonne Vineyards

  • Cask 307 Winery

  • South River Vineyards

  • Black Door Tavern

  • Red Eagle Distillery

Visit all six locations to enter a drawing for a chance to win an overnight stay at a local hotel in Madison, plus gift certificates to participating wineries. Trail cards can be picked up at any of the participating businesses.

All participating businesses are open seven days a week, except for Cask 307 Winery (closed on Tuesdays and Wednesdays) and Black Door Tavern, which has special hours. Mid-week visits are a great opportunity to explore when crowds are smaller.

Not ready to brave the cold? Plan for upcoming events like the February Wine & Chocolate Trail, hosted by the Ohio Wine Producers Association, or the popular Ice Wine Festival in March, hosted by the Winegrowers of the Grand River Valley.

And if you’d rather hibernate indoors but your wine cupboard is looking bare, the Valley Wine Group offers delivery of wine and beer right to your door in Ashtabula, Lake, Geauga, Summit, and Cuyahoga counties. Simply visit www.ValleyWineGroup.com to place your order.
